[CWIS'S NOTE] Up today I've got a Q&A from Diapscort. You may know him from his Fetlife account or his Diaper-Bois profile. He actually did a Q&A for me nine years ago! He since decided that his ABDL life had changed significantly enough that a whole new Q&A was in order. This piece is the result.
Q&A With Diapscort

AB/DL/BabyFur/Other? ABDL
When did you first realize you were ABDL?
You probably get this answer a lot but I am a classic case of always have been. As far back as I can remember I have wanted to wear nappies again. But it was not until I was around 15/16 that I discovered what ABDL was (thank you internet). When I first discovered the ABDL world for the first few years I thought I was just a DL however as I’ve got older I have started to explore the AB side of things and I have to admit that now I enjoy mostly all areas of the ABDL spectrum.
What steps did you take to get your diaper 'fix' as a child and/or teen?
When I was a child/teen I was never brave enough to take any action to get a diaper fix all I used to really do was wear multiple layers of underwear to create the thickness of a diaper or use a bathroom towel as a make shift nappy.
Do your parents and/or siblings know about you and diapers? If so, please explain how, and how they reacted?
Actually, yes unfortunately my parents do know but I am not sure if they remember. It’s not exactly something I want to openly talk about with them. My mum found out after I moved back home from University. It was a depressing time in my life being a recent university grad but struggling to get my foot on the career ladder so I had to move back home and work two part time jobs. One of the only ways I was able to cope was having the comfort of diapers and I refused to give up so when my mum and partner would be away for a weekend or would go on holiday I would place my diaper orders to arrive and I would hide them in various places around my room. However, one day my mum went looking for something in my room and found more than what she was looking for. I don’t really want to go in to what happened afterwards but let’s just that some things are better left forgotten and I am glad that to this day it has never been spoken about again.

My dad was a bit different; we have kind of a stretched relationship and only see each other a couple of times a year and one of our main topics of conversation is our sex lives. So one day when we were talking about Kinks and Fetishes he just guessed that I was into ABDL and asked me I said yes he teased for a little and its never been spoken of since. Again, I’m not sure he even remembers the conversation I do not have any siblings although I do have plenty of friends I would consider as good as family and a select few of them know and do not care some of them even asked if they could try wearing a diaper themselves.
Have you dealt with the shame and regret that is the binge/purge cycle? Please explain.
Back in my younger years between the ages of 16 – 21 I definitely went through my fair share of binge and purge cycles but when I was 21 I did some serious thinking and self-reflection and decided that being ABDL is part of who I am and I believe I am good and kind person, I’m not hurting anyone by being ABDL so from that moment on I accepted it and have never had a purge experience since.
For collegebabies/DLs, did this interest affect your college experiences? If so, how?
Being ABDL didn’t affect my experience at university at all. I went to lectures, I went our drinking and clubbing with friends, I went out for food, I pulled all nighters to write essays and had plenty of nights in with my housemates on the sofa. I lived the life of a perfectly usual university student I just happened to sometimes wear nappies to relax.
How has this fetish affected your social life and/or dating?
It has not affected my social or dating life in any negative way at all. It has affected them in a very positive way though. I have very close and dear friends who live in various parts of the UK who I never would of met if I wasn’t a member of the ABDL community and especially since I moved to London reaching out to the ABDL community has become the way I make most of my friends in the city.
In regard to dating I was with my ex-boyfriend for two year and we met because we were both abdl. Currently I am on the usual apps and websites that ABDL/kinky people use and most of the hook-ups that I have are with other people who also enjoy ABDL.
I also go on dates and have hook ups with people who are not abdl. Just because its something I enjoy doesn’t mean it’s something I have to do with every partner I have. I am currently dating someone (but we are open) who has no interest in ABDL. At first when we started dating I just decided that he didn’t need to know about that part of my life. But the longer we have been dating the closer we have got so I decided to open up to him. He said its not his thing but he’s okay with me being ABDL with other people and that works just fine for me because there are some things he enjoys that I don’t so he can go off and do his things and I can go and do mine.
Some experts believe that we become the way we are because of traumas experienced at an early age, including abuse and/or neglect. Do your life experiences bear this out?
I never had any traumas in my childhood so no my life experiences do not bear this out. I wish I knew why I was ABDL and why I enjoy so much but I don’t know the reason and probably never will.
For the little dunces, please tell us about what it was like to discover this fetish/lifestyle on the Internet. Please be at least 18 at the time of writing, but be specific about what age you discovered it, what sites helped you, and keep this part PG for obvious reasons.
It was life changing. I discovered that I wasn’t the only person in the world who had these feelings. It made me feel like it was ok and gave me a gateway to talk to others.
One of the first sites I ever discovered was Deekers Diaper Page which was just full of ABDL stories I was only like 15/16 at the time so I thought the site was ok. Looking back now as an adult it was a terrible site with let’s say ethical issues.
I also used to be on RUPadded when that existed. But the 3 sites that really changed things for me were Diaper-Bois, fetlife and tumblr. The first two allowed me to search for other UK abdls/message them and the ABDL part of Tumblr was when I really started sharing this part of myself with the world. Tumblr (Before the purge) gave me a platform, my own blog where I could post my own photos with ease and search for other ABDLS.
Today the main sites that I use are the Gay DLs Facebook page, Diaper-Bois, Tumblr (still) and ABDL.link (Thank you James for creating it).
The sites that I do not use for ABDL content even though I know they are popular are Twitter and Instagram because I don’t trust the algorithms not to suggest my pages to vanilla friends and family.
Do your interests involve a subset of this community, such as babyfurs, diaper disciplinarians, sissybabies etc.? Please tell us about it. I won't even try to be specific here; just tell us what you think people should know.
Erm nothing that I can think that isn’t already just part of “normal” ABDL stuff.
What % of your sexual activities and/or masturbation incorporate diapers? Has this caused problems for you?
70% - When I masturbate it is 99.9% to ABDL related content usually forced regression stories that you can find on various ABDL sites.
When it comes to Sexual activity with another person, as I said earlier I do tend to mostly hook up with people who are kinky and have some form of interest in ABDL but also I do have sex with people who aren’t abdl and not involving nappies is not a problem at all. Some of the best sex I have ever had has been with a non-ABDLs.
If you get into the regression aspect of ABDL please tell us more about that. If you do not, and you have feelings about being lumped into a fetish involving it, explain how it makes you feel.
I said earlier on that when I first discovered the ABDL world I convinced myself that I was just DL however as the years have progressed I have started enjoying the AB side of it especially more in recent years if that has some correlation with me becoming more of an adult in the real “world” and moving up the career ladder who knows.
Regressing for me is difficult though because I believe to be able to regress you need to let down your defensive barriers and guards. This is something that I do not find easy to do. If I am to be babied and regressed it had to be with someone, I am comfortable with and have trust in otherwise it just does not work. Luckily for me I do have a few good friends in the ABDL community who I trust enough to allow me to do so.
Don't let yourself be limited by my questions. If you have anything else at all that you would like to say please feel free to say it here:
I would like to add that for me being ABDL forms a part of who I am but also a part of my sexuality. I struggled for long time with the fact that I fancied people of the same sex as me because throughout childhood I had it reinforced that being gay was bad and disgusting and as strange as it may sound being ABDL helped me accept my sexuality. When I had accepted being ABDL was ok it opened the gates for me to wrestle with my own internal ideas and struggles with the LGBT world and I think if I had never had that first crack in the door opened it would of taken a lot longer for me to accept all aspects of myself as person.
To those who are reading this if you are currently in dark place/ time in your life because you are struggling to accept being ABDL or your sexuality or maybe those around have aren’t as accepting of either of those thing as you want them to be. I just want to say it will get better and it will get easier just hold on in there and you will come out the other side a better person for it.
