ABDL CASTING CALL?

URGENT! I received an email from an outfit called VPE Casting. They are, in their words, "working on a new docu-series (already picked up by a major cable network) that will follow happy couples with unique stories.  One of the areas we're interested in covering is what it is like to be in a relationship with an ABDL."

I'm told that there is a talent fee associated with this project. I have zero details on specifics. I did express to them that many in our community are wary of appearing in media due to a few incidents in the past that did not work out for us as well as we'd hoped. Here's what they said:

"This is a docu series and isn't mean to be exploitive, but I certainly understand hesitations. We're seeking a baby with a mommy or daddy that will let us follow them for a bit to see what their lifestyle is like."

My blog gets hundreds of readers each week from all across the US. Some of you are in committed daddy/son, mommy/son, and big bro/little bro relationships. If being the face of the world of ABDL is something that has ever interested you, here's an opportunity. I'm not going to engage in the age-old debate about whether our community should be televised or remain hidden, so before that rages I will say this: we have some dope-ass people in our community, and if any of you are going to do this, I hope it's someone dope-ass. ;)

If you are interested, you can reach out to Julie at vpecastingcall@gmail.com or Haley at Hayley@vpetalent.com. Time for casting is limited, so hit them up asap.

Hall of Shame: Diaper Punishment

It appears the teacher in Oregon who diapered his students as punishment will not face charges.

From the article:

Nelson said police interviews with 14 students failed to provide enough evidence to back up the claims of three students who said the teacher put diapers on students for "acting like a baby."

Hmmmmmmmmmm...

Sounds like they had difficulty making a case, but we all know the deal, right?

If you are a teacher, substitute teacher, daycare worker, or work with children in any other capacity, don't do this!!!!!!!!!

Don't even drop hints about it.

Don't make jokes about it.

Don't DO it!

Do not bring diapers into your profession in any way, shape, or form.

Save "diaper punishment" for your role play activities with consenting adults.

YOU Magazine (South Africa) Circa 1995 and 2013

Up today I have a few contributions sent in by WindmanSA, a contest sponsor and blog reader from South Africa. You'll recall that, back in January, I wrote about an upcoming ABDL article in YOU Magazine. Windman was nice enough to dig through his archives and find some articles that that same magazine published on the subject back in 1995 - a full eighteen years ago. It seems that YOU has been interested in our community for quite some time. Anyway, the screenshots are below; if you want a copy of the actual PDF files please email me or just hit up Windman directly at dadda@outlook.com. And scroll below for the text...

Beneath them is the text from the newest article, published this month. Check it! Interesting stuff.

Thanks for sharing!!

CLICK ON THE PICS TO MAKE THEM BIGGER

And, below, also courtesy of WindmanSA,
is the text from the most recent YOU magazine article,
published last month:

He dresses in nappies, sucks a dummy - and offers support for other South Africans like him

By JACO HOUGH-COETZEE

He’s a boerseun ( a typical South African Afrikaans boy ) from the Northern Cape and a factory foreman who oversees 80 people. At - weekends he braais (barbeques) with the guys, drinks brandy and Coke and talks rugby. In between he teaches karate.

Bur Johan Prinsloo * (not his real name ~ 40) has a secret: every day He wears a disposable nappy under his jeans. And at night he puts on an extra-large nappy before he goes to bed. Sometimes he even sucks a dummy

Johan is an adult baby and the fact that he wears nappies has nothing to do with health problems - he's just a grown-up who chooses to escape to a baby world where he feels emotionally secure.

It’s a worldwide phenomenon (see box on opposite page) and was recently m the news again in the UK when Channel 4 broadcast the documentary the 15 Stone Babies.

Johan is married with two children, which is why he prefers not to reveal his true identity But he isn’t ashamed to be an infantilist - the name for adults who sometimes live like babies.

He readily poses for photographs and even puts on his oversized nappy He laughs when he's addressed as meneer (mister). A man who still wears nappies is definitely not a meneer, he says. "Rather call me meneertjie ?(meneertjie = little man)

He says without all the baby paraphernalia he feels defenceless and afraid. If it weren't for that l don’t know if I’d be able to face the challenges of every day.

The first time he read about adults who, like him* choose to live in a baby world was in YOU in 1996 (29 February), When he put on a nappy for the first time in his early twenties but thought he was the only man la the world to do so.

But after reading the article he began to
search the internet for the keywords infantilism* and "adult baby syndrome" - and suddenly he was no longer alone.

"There are hundreds of websites overseas with thousands of members who practise infantilism," he says. *But here in South Africa there was nothing.”

That’s why he recently started his website, adultbabies.co.za “

"The message I want to get across it’s okay to be this way — you're not alone

The ashtray on the stoep (veranda) is soon full because Johan puts out one cigarette after another. He's nervous because this it’s first time he's telling his story to stranger he admits. An hour ago he took a headache powder to steady his nerves,
But if you hide all the time and deny that you are an infantilist you end up major psychological problems.

He hid it for 18 years but now accepts himself, he says after his fourth cup of coffee. “It was a hell of a long road towards acceptance. You go through phases when you wear a nappy and are okay with it, but then the feelings of guilt return. Then you throw everything away, only to go out and buy the next batch a month later.”

A psychologist he consulted in 2003 said he thought Johan hadn’t received enough love from his mother as child.

“Could be, I don’t know. I remember how my father assaulted my mother every time she was unfaithful. After their divorce she often left us alone when she went out.”

To grow up in such circumstances makes you feel powerless. You think it’s your fault. Later your poor self-image gets the better of you.”

But he doesn’t blame his parents. “Still, after everything, I couldn’t have asked for better parents. All parents do the best they can for their child at that particular moment in their lives.”

What he did learn from his psychological counselling sessions was to talk about his fears and emotions. I can’t change myself: no one can. Communication, that‘s the key. After i learnt to communicate, my marriage’s the strongest it’s been in 10 years.

But he doesn't want his two primary school-age kids to know about his infantilism yet. "One day when they're older I’ll xplain it to them.”

At night, when the children are asleep, he puts on one of his large, brightly coloured nappies. If he's had a bad day at work his wife holds him while he spends a long time sucking at her breast. She comforts him and strokes his forehead. If he’s away from home he can't sleep without a dummy in his mouth.

He refills his cup again. "All people have their issues. Some reach for alcohol and others take drugs. I reach for my dummy and nappies.

He has 13 of these nappies in his wardrobe at home. And one of these days, when his website is up and running, he wants to sell the homemade nappies on the site. He knows 10 other infantilists and among them they know or about 100 in country.

”But I estimate there could be as a thousand of us. Because you to register on the discussion forum on site, we'll soon know the correct estimate”

On the morning of our visit 17 people had already registered on the forum.

His wife doesn’t want to say much about her husband s habits. “Ag, whatever ….” was her only reaction when Johan told her about the interview.

After another cup of coffee he feels better, i t was good to talk about it, he says.
And his message to other infantilists "Accept yourself, warts and all. Having a disorder doesn‘t make you a bad person.”

 * Not his real name

THE WORLD OF ADULT BABIES
The documentary The 15-Stone Babies sheds light on the secret fives of adults Who wear disposable nappies, suck dummies and drink from baby's bottles.
A couple on the south coast off England, introduced only as Maxine and Derek, have had a nursery in their house for 10 years where adults are treated like babies. It's one of about a dozen in England.

Maxine plays mom to Derek and other adults who pay £50 (about R700) an hour to be pacified, fed baby food and given bottles, and to have their nappies changed.

“As soon as you mention adult baby, they all think it's something to do with children, you know paedophiles,” explains Derek, who’s been married for 27 years.m“We don’t want to be with children. We want to be the child.”

Charlie Arnold (31) has been going to a day-care centre at the University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO) since 2011.

"A lot of people think we're doing something sick but adult babies just want to be like a baby," he says.

Adult babies are well monitored and investigated before they're allowed to attend day-care centres.

"Some of these adult babies' obsession can be rooted to certain childhood events, while others evolve their lifestyle later life," says Femi Cootie, a professor of psychology at UNO.

“Regardless of how they got this psychological obsession, they're Just trying to escape the realities, stresses and burdens of adult life"

The kids at the centre no longer see Charlie as an adult, says Martha Hubbard, an employee there. “They associate him as being the head kid in charge and also the kids who needs the most diaper changes. Besides his size, that separates him from the other children.” Martha says, “Well, expect that he also drives two of our kids’ home at the end of the day.”

YouTube Tuesdays: IWannaBeABaby.com

Up today I have a selection of YouTubes from a website I was recently steered to by DoggyBabyJr. The site is IWannaBeABaby.com. I'm not sure WTF it's all about, but the production of the site is top-notch, and their video production quality for the first video embedded below is something else! You'll see what I mean...

On their page you'll find a selection of photos of adults with pacifiers and a page where you can download wallpaper and ringtones, too. It seems to be a marketing ploy for a children's clothing manufacturer (link here, but note that these are actual children's clothes). If anyone knows the deal behind this fantastic (and fantastically weird) website, let me know?

Contest Entry #10

The next entry for the 2nd Abysitter.com #ABDL Photo Contest comes to us from Kooshy, straight out of Scotland. This photo involves some special effects - you'll see the same person in the pic three times, in the various stages of development. Since it is one photo, however, I've decided to allow it in the regular category, and not in the special effects category. If Kooshy, or anyone else, has an opinion on this, hit me up. Thanks, Kooshy!

Blog Contest - Photos from Zac

For my ABDL Photo Contest I'm encouraging everyone to send in pictures they've taken, even if they aren't the final contest entry pics they're going to go with. I'm also encouraging everyone to post their pictures anywhere, including diaper sites, to try to get a li'l more publicity for this contest - and, in the long run, for my blog.

When I post entry submissions I am sure not to give opinions on them. I don't want to influence the voting in any way, shape, or form - this contest is supposed to be as fair as possible, and I don't want to do anything to F that up. When you submit your regular diaper pics to my blog I'm appreciate as hell, and I post them up with my opinions - I use the word "adorable" a lot, and "hot" sometimes, and... well, you get the idea. For the entries, however, they just go up with your name and location. It's up to my readers, eventual contest voters, to decide.

The pics below aren't actual contest entries, but since they come from someone who will be entering the contest, I will not give my opinion on them. Still, I do want to express appreciation. I needed some pictures to post for contest promotion banners, and I hit up Zac, winner of last year's Best Photo category - he took home a diaper cover from NeverGrownUp - to help me out. He came up with a number of pictures for me to use, and I just want to thank him for that.

There are other pictures, but I'll stick with these five.
If you've created photos for the contest
that you just wanna share,

Hall of Shame: Kindergarten Diaperer

Today a story out of Boardman, Oregon which may or may not be ABDL related. It seems that a kindergarten teacher has been forcing his students to remove their pants - and put on diapers. No word on whether this is to punish them for behaving like babies, because they have wetting accidents, or... well, the list goes on. The teacher is suspended with pay and the district attorney is investigating. An article in the East Oregonian states that said teacher is being investigated for "allegedly forcing three students to put on diapers as punishment." The article also says that the DA says the "story is easily blurred by changing facts in the minds of the five year-old students."

This smells of ABDL. But to be sure, even if it isn't, there's a chance that an ABDL has been created as a result of these incidents. Most of us know how it works. I'm going to keep my fingers crossed and hope that this is just some misguided teacher who thinks forcing a child to put on a diaper is the most demeaning, humiliating punishment available. That's bad enough, but if this is someone deriving sexual pleasure of diapering children... damn. That really, really sucks.

I often try to give reminders (i.e. diapers and kids don't mix!), but fuck it. If you belong to our community and don't know you shouldn't punish five year olds with diapers, you need to GTFO. Please and thanks in advance.

We'll be watching the news on this one...

Final Update: Christian Choate

WARNING: This is an update on Christian Choate. It contains non-fetish news accounts that are fairly graphic regarding child abuse. If this kind of thing upsets you, please skip this entry.

Today I am writing what I expect will be my final update on Christian Choate. If you remember, Christian is the boy I first blogged about during the summer of 2011. His body had been discovered buried in concrete under a shed. It had come out that Christian had been severely abused for several years, after being caught playing "the humping game" with a sibling. He'd been murdered in 2009, and had spent at least one full year before his death confined to a dog cage - and a year or more before that locked in a closet.

I wrote about him because, in the course of putting out news releases regarding their investigation, it came out that Christian had been kept mostly naked in a dog cage - but had, after defiantly smearing poo in the heating vents, been put into diapers. Investigators stated over and over that he'd been forced to wear diapers which had been purchased for the youngest child in the family - but which fit Christian because, after living on a steady diet of one packet of ramen for breakfast, one packet of ramen for lunch, and leftovers for dinner, he was severely malnourished and would have been the size of a typical seven year old (at age 11).

This was outrageous enough, but Christian's older sister, who was basically let off the hook after she agreed to testify against the adults in the family, admitted that her responsiblities included forcing Christian to exercise and giving him ice cold baths. In one of the statements that had been released in PDF format (previoiusly linked from this blog) she admitted to diapering him and taking photos and video, including at least one session where she and her friends had chained Christian to a bedframe and had laughed when the bedframe fell on him, injuring him. She admitted that she did not like him and told him so, also giving him beatings - to avoid being beaten by her father, she claimed.

She told the investigators that she wasn't sure what had happened to the videos, and that they may have been recorded over. It had been two years since they had been made, after all. But anyone in our community who's spent a significant amount of time online knows that we have a small segment of our community who get their jollies posting photos of children in diapers. These may not techically be illegal, and they may not violate Facebook's terms of service - in fact, they do not, as recent screenshots sent to me will attest - but they are wrong, nonetheless. And one of the reasons they are wrong is that sometimes, such as cases like these, the young person isn't diapered by choice - they've been diapered by force.

It's possible that Christian Choate's diaper pictures will never surface. But in another statement a family member admitted that Christian would be caged and ignored for entire days while his father, stepmother, and other family members spent the entire day surfing the internet and playing online video games. So we know that pictures were taken, and we know that these were people who loved their internet. Look at this kid's face. If you see anyone who looks anything like him as you click through diaper pictures online, you might be looking at torture and abuse.

RIP

Anyway, the reason I am updating this today is that both parents plead guilty and, just yesterday, his stepmother, Kimberly Kubina, was sentenced to 35 years in prison. This brings a little bit of closure to the situation, as Christian's father was sentenced to 80 years last month. He'd been looking at 120 years when he pleaded guilty. Let's pray neither of these two see the light of day again, ever.

The other reason that I'm updating this story is because I know that it hit home for a few of you, including at least one person who was also abused as a child. I wouldn't even get updates on this case, but it comes up in my daily Google News update on "diaper news." And that really, really sucks.

What sucks, also, is that there are people out there being abused like this kid is right now. So if you're one of the people who downloads and/or shared the under 18 photos, keep in mind this is what you might be sharing. Please think twice...

RIP Christian. And good riddance Riley Choate and Kimberly Kubina.

YouTube Tuesdays: Harlem Shake

Today's YouTube Tuesday comes to me courtesy of DoggyBabyJr., who got it from ksartkid. It's one of the Harlem Shake videos that are sweeping the internet. This one was created by the Kansas University Men's Basketball team. See if you can spot the adorable jock in the footed sleeper and bib...

...and below that, two more, the first including two sleepers, and the last - also courtesy of DoggyBabyJr. - that could probably be described as the Harlem Shake: Diaper Edition. Can anyone in our community outdo this one?

It's amazing how many people own footed sleepers. And gorilla outfits. Anyone else find any good ones? Email me: abysitter@gmail.com.

And as a footnote, if you've ever wondered what the Diapers.com office looks like, check out their own Harlem Shake video here. No diapers, though. But they sure own a lot of animal costumes!

Abysitter.com #ABDL Photo Contest - SHARE!

READERS: 1K FIRST DAY!
In the first 24 hours following the announcement of this contest my blog had 1,135 unique views. People say the ABDL community is small, but when I see numbers like that I realize how big it really is. That's crazy! Believe it or not, it's not even a record - but it's pretty close. It also had more than 3,000 blog views in a day - that means that most of the people who visited clicked through to a bunch of pages on the blog.

I'm hoping that it translates into contest entries and potential customers for our contest sponsors!

PLEASE HELP ME PROMOTE THE CONTEST!
I am asking you all to do me a favor and share this contest! The link to put out to your ABDL friends is as follows:

It's easy to remember and easy to post, so please: post it on diaper sites, tweet it, Facebook it, Tumblr it, or just send it to your diaperfriends.

The more contestants I get, the more readers my blog gets. I have some really important stuff coming up this spring and summer and would love it if more of our community became Abysitter.com converts. Anything you can do to help would be sick.

You can also share by clicking the links you see at every single blog entry I post.

And you are welcome to post your contest entry pictures up on profiles and shit. Be sure to link to the contest! And if it's a Tumblr etc. mention 18+. Thanks!!

PHOTOSHOP: A FEW QUESTIONS HAVE COME UP...
A lot of people love PhotoShop. I've gotten asked all sorts of questions about it. So let me try to be a little clearer: I am allowing the use of PhotoShop for photo editing, but you cannot create a sign and insert it into a picture with PhotoShop. You can make a sign in photoshop and print it out, but you must be holding it in the picture. Similarly, you can edit yourself into a photo, but you must actually be holding a real sign you've created in your hands in said picture. I reserve the right to disqualify any entry, so if you have questions, please contact me before you go through the trouble of creating your masterpiece. On the other hand, I will post just about any picture you send, so if you do some photoshop magic and want to share it, I'll put it up! However, for the purposes of final contest entries and voting, your photoshopped picture might not be eligible.

QUESTIONS? CONTACT ME!
If you are getting your entry together and still have questions, please email me: abysitter@gmail.com. I'll try to get back to you as soon as I can. You can also follow me on Twitter (@abysitter) for contest details. And don't forget to subscribe to my mailing list! See the link at right.

GET YOUR PHOTOS IN - THEY POST IN ORDER THEY'RE RECEIVED!
You can send me as many pictures as you want for the contest. I'll post just about everything in the order they are received. When it comes to choosing your final entry, you'll be asked to select one. When I post the pictures for voting they will be posted in the order that they are received. So don't wait! And remember, if you send something in now and think of something new later, you can submit multiple pics and choose your final submission later.
