More Mono...

[CWIS'S NOTE] Last week I posted the first pictures of a new friend, Mono. Mono joined me for an overnight on the boat, and we snapped a whole bunch of adorable pics.

I'd thought Mono was going to be fake. He was real. And what was even better, he was really cool, too. I felt comfortable with him right away.

As our 'baby pics' show, Mono was comfortable drinking from a baby bottle or a bottle of beer. We had conversations about little stuff, and conversations about big stuff, and as we talked I knew Mono would fit in with some of my other local friends, too. I made it a point to invite him to my boat get-together, conveniently being held that weekend hehe...

I'll have more pictures from the get-together in a future blog entry. Until then, more Mono...

It took Mono a little while to get comfortable with the boat rocking.
He kept looking out the window to see what was going on.

Amazing how a little boat can rock the boat so much.

Mono got to be the first little to get his picture taken in the 'crib'.

He piled little stuffed fwiends on top of him
for a little game of hide and seek.

(I found him...)

After his nap we went up into the forward cabin -
sometimes called the 'cuddle cabin' hehe -
to chill and share some stories.

We had a great time, and
I was impressed that Mono was able to make a visit happen
in such a short period.

If everyone in our community
was that open to meeting up, and that willing to
do what needs to be done
to make it happen,
we'd have so many more meaningful connections.

This kid drove 1.5 hours each way
to come spend the day being pampered
on the boat.

What have you done to make a
diapered meetup
happen?

Visitor to the Boat: Mono

[CWIS'S NOTE] Up today I have pictures from someone new - Monolopono. Mono is from upstate New York, and we got to meet after he responded to one of my many messages sent out on FetlifeDiaper-bois.com, and/or Tumblr over the last few weeks.

For those of you who don't know, I've been trying to reach out to folks across upstate New York, doing a bit of community-building over the summer. I hosted a get-together on my boat a few weeks ago, and have had a number of visitors from Buffalo, Rochester, and even the local Finger Lakes region. Still, for every one person I have the pleasure to meet, it seems like so much work is involved. Sending out dozens of messages... getting decline messages from guys who won't meet other guys or people who prefer to keep this part of their life 'online fantasy' only... conversations with folks who talk about meeting but in the end never will... and, of course, the 'flakes' and the 'fall-offs'. After all of that you're left with people who are serious about making new friends and who just need to coordinate their schedules with mine.

And then there's Mono.

Mono is 23, so I fully expected there to be the potential for some flakiness. Understandably, younger people in our community sometimes approach ABDL meet ups with all kinds of enthusiasm - and then purge relatively quickly, finally responding to your last message weeks or months later, if at all. Mono was clear about what he was interested in right up front, and didn't seem to think twice when I invited him out for some little time on the boat. Would he flake?

When the mutual day off finally arrived I wasn't surprised a bit when I got the text: doing some errands, running late. Okay... it's all good, I have a few other things I could do today. It wasn't like I could be mad at him - I've gotten used to it, and I remember how difficult meeting up with people for the first time is.

About an hour later I got another text: he was - allegedly - on his way.

We'd pre-arranged to meet at the gas station near the marina, and I pulled into the parking lot with no set expectations. He was driving from an hour away, and that was a lot of time, I knew, to get cold feet. So when the designated time arrived and left I just chuckled to myself. What a good day to fill up the tank and go for a padded ride around the Finger Lakes, I told myself.

A few minutes later Mono was actually in the parking lot, texting me. He really had had some errands to finish... I felt bad for doubting him. We talked for a moment, and then he followed me back to the marina. I had him park in guest parking and get into my car for the ride in, and within a few minutes of conversation I could already tell two things: Mono was fucking adorable, and Mono seemed like the kind of chill kid you'd want to not just regress, but actually be friends with, as well.

I love it when a plan comes together - and for all of the work I've had to do setting up ABDL stuff, this kid had made it easy af.

I'll share more about our visit next blog entry. For now... Mono.
