COMMUNITY SPOTLIGHT #2
RobbiexRainbow
As an ABDL blogger since 2008, I know how difficult keeping up a blog is.
It can be a royal pain-in-the-diapered-ass.
Once you get through the growing pains - just getting traffic to your blog can be a bitch - you realize that you now have something of a commitment. Your mission, if you choose to accept, is to create fresh, new content that will keep readers coming back day after day, week after week, month after month.
Sometimes it seems overwhelming.
I've seen a shit ton of new blogs flounder and die, in part, because of this.
I've even linked to some, in the links to the right, that didn't make it past the first few months.
RobbiexRainbow is an ABDL blogger who's not only created a blog that is sustainable, I'd say it's quite popular. I'd also call it a credit to the community.
Robbie's site is more of a blogsite than a blog - it allows users to sign up to have access to parts of his blog that they wouldn't ordinarily be able to. From the site you can navigate to Robbie's Blogger.com blog, as well as see pictures (album recently updated), videos, and even screenshots of diaper-related conversations (snippets). There's also some information on infantilism and other aspects of our fetish.
I like Robbie's site because he keeps it up. He's always posting new pictures with a whole bunch of different themes, and his blog on Blogger is updated on a fairly regular basis. Robbie and I are also friends on RUPadded, FetLife, and some other places, and he is always entertaining me in those places, too.
Robbie is heteroflexible, and pretty open about his sexuality. He's a gifted writer, and that's somewhat rare these days in a world of photo-only blogs and community sites where pictures are often 95% of the content.
If you read diaper blogs, like diaper pictures or videos, or just want to support an ABDL community member trying to do something to
give back to the community, you owe it to yourself to check out

• When did you first realize you
were ABDL?
Right after my 14th birthday
• What steps did you take to get
your diaper 'fix' as a child and/or teen?
For the first bit, I stole my younger brother’s left over pull ups,
since he was being potty trained. After that, I purchased goodnites and generic
Walgreen brand a little later.
• Do your parents and/or
siblings know about you and diapers? If so, please explain how, and how they
reacted?
My mom does know. At first, she just told me it was a phase and helped
me obtain diapers. But that soon ended and she went into denial about it. Now
she doesn’t care as long as she doesn’t have to see it.
• Have you dealt with the shame
and regret that is the binge/purge cycle? Please explain.
For the first 2 years of being part of the fetish, I would go hard at
wearing for a few weeks, and then not think of it for a month or so. On two
separate occasions, I threw all my stuff out and a month later, I was forced to
start fresh. Third year of doing so [17, Senior year], I became a lot better
with it because I rationalized it all out and found a comfortable median and
haven’t had a binge/purge cycle.
• For collegebabies/DLs, did
this interest affect your college experiences? If so, how?
N/A - Still live at home
• How has this fetish affected
your social life and/or dating? Married life? Parenting?
I’m rather open about my fetish. Most of my friends know and most of
them don’t care. Somewhat like my mom – so long as they don’t have to see it, it
doesn’t bother them. As for dating, I actually used it as a way to weed out
people that I didn’t find good enough for me. Although infantilism isn’t the
main focus of my life, it is an important part of it.
• Some experts believe that we
become the way we are because of traumas experienced at an early age, including
abuse and/or neglect. Do your life experiences bear this out?
I, being a person with burning love for psychology, have my own
personal theory of where it came from for me. I have never met my father, and
never had a decent fatherly figure. My mother sucked at parenting, and I moved
around a lot so I never got attached to anyone. Infantilism, for me, is a way I
cope with that and it brings me back to innocence. I’ve made a lot of friends
in the community and enjoy talking to people who are “daddies” for the above
reasons – they help fill a void.
• For the little dunces, please
tell us about what it was like to discover this fetish/lifestyle on the
Internet. Please be at least 18 at the time of writing, but be specific about
what age you discovered it, what sites helped you, and keep this part PG for
obvious reasons.
I’m pretty sure this applies to me, since I was 14 when it started. My
first experiences online were from a site called DPF [Diaper Pal Friends? I
think it was.] I was young, and didn’t realize how many people were actually
pedos with a false persona. But at the time, it was enjoyable to know I wasn’t
alone with these feelings.
• What % of your sexual
activities and/or masturbation incorporate diapers? Has this caused problems
for you?
It is almost none for me. Yes, I can be wet and hump and it feel good,
but that’s a reaction to the physical stimuli that is presented. Not because it
turns me on.
• If you get into the regression
aspect of ABDL please tell us more about that. If you do not, and you have
feelings about being lumped into a fetish involving it, explain how it makes
you feel.
I can get into the regression aspect of ABDL when I am having a really
good role play online or reading a really well written story. Being able to
regress in person is a challenge for me that I am slowly trying to overcome.
Don't let yourself be limited by
my questions. If you have anything else at all that you would like to say
please feel free to say it here:
I would like to point out that, in my OPINION, infantilism is
everything from a simple interest, to a lifestyle/hobby, to a sexual fetish,
and can fluidly flow through all these channels. Infantilism is unique in the
fact that it can be used to supplement/cope for a number of thing that were
either scarce in the past or feared for the future. No one should feel like since
the word “fetish” is tacked onto it that they have to be seen as someone who is
a creepy sex freak. I absolutely disagree with this being classified as purely
a “sexual fetish.” But we are human, and we like organization, and fetish most
closely described it with ease. Again, this is my PERSONAL OPINION on the
matter.
For even more about Robbie, those of you who are members of FetLife can read some of his philosophy on being ABDL
there. I've asked Robbie to contribute more on some of these topics for my upcoming Guide to #ABDL, and he's agreed.
Robbie also contributed some cute-as-FCK photos, which I'll share below:
