AB/DL/BabyFur/Other? AB/DL

You first completed a Q&A in Feb 2018. What's - ahem - changed, with you, since then?

Besides having got a bit older, in body but definitely not mind!, not a lot has changed in my day-to-day life. Everything is much the same, plodding along through life, pretending to be a “grown up”. I have however changed when it comes to my “role” within the ABDL community, and also in my interests... I’ve found myself embracing the AB side a lot more than I used to, getting more into the “little” mind-set. I’ve also become quite intrigued by several different factions (if that’s the right term for it) within the ABDL community, in particular the Pup scene... Perhaps that’s something to investigate further in the New Year.

One of my blog readers likes to say that we are all searching for something. What are YOU searching for in the ABDL community - if anything? Are you looking for a daddy/mommy/sitter? Brothers or sisters? Certain experiences? Tell us what YOU are looking for, or hoping to find - diaper-related, of course - in this life... and be as vague or specific as you'd like to be.

To quote my favourite song, “We all need somebody to lean on” (bonus points if you know which song ;), and that’s exactly what I’m looking for. I’d love to find a Daddy or Big Bro, someone with who I can be myself with, where I don’t have to hide what is essentially a big part of who I am. Where I don’t have to pretend to be a grown up all the time. I guess I’m ultimately looking for acceptance, some to love me for who I am and to help make me feel comfortable with it. I’d love to meet new friends along the way as well.

What is the BEST thing about being a diaper boy, AB, DL, etc.?

Umm… all the cute nappies we get to wear? Hehe… No, in all seriousness, for me it has to be that feeling when you’ve just put on a fresh nappy, your favourite onesie and then snuggled up on the sofa with your blankie and stuffie… The ultimate feeling of comfort and security. After what is essentially a simple change of clothes, I find myself in a relaxed state, where I can forget about all the worries of adult life and just enjoy a few moments of comfort. Stick on a film, age appropriate of course (if you really want to make me happy then Disney’s 1973 Robin Hood is a good choice), and a bottle of milk and I’m as content as can be.

What do you think the biggest problem/s or issue/s facing the ABDL community are?

The biggest problem our community faces is misunderstanding and non-acceptance, and it pains me to say it but that’s from both outside and within the community. For a lot of people who aren’t members of the community they simply don’t understand it, and sadly think the worst about it. I’ve often seen harsh comments, suggesting things that simply are not true. But more worryingly is the how quick different factions within the community are to turn against each other. I’ve seen more than enough comments from fellow ABDLs about those in the babyfur or pup scene, and from DLs about Abs… We seem too eager to judge and express our disapproval rather than except everyone for who they are, and make them welcome.  One of the things that I’ve always found amazing about the ABDL community is how accepting and welcoming they are, but even with in a community such as ours, where you’d think we’d no better, you’ll still find people judging each other, be it because of how they look or what they like.   It would be wrong to tar everyone with the same brush, for on the main part I’ve met nothing but kindness, acceptance and welcoming in this community and long may it stay that way, but I do feel sometimes we could do more to be more accepting and to keep this amazing community a safe place for anyone and everyone who wishes to join in.

If you could create one thing that would help the ABDL community in some way, what would it be?

A company that offers a door-to-door changing service for all those ABDLs out there who don’t have a Mommy or Daddy to look after them. You could make a booking, much like you’d book a taxi or order pizza, select your preference as to the changer and then wait for them to come to you and change your nappy. 24/7discreet callout. Either that or a company specialising in babysitting the “older” babies…

Please tell us anything else you'd like to share... anything at all, sky's the limit!

With Tumblr’s recent decision to ban anything NSFW I decided it was time to move on to another platform, and so you’ll no longer find me on Tumblr. I’m still on Instagram and Twitter, and I’ve also joined ABDL.link. Feel free to come say Hi. My username is Apaddedguyj.

Q&A With APaddedGuyJ

[Cwis's Note] Up today I have a Q&A from someone new: James, aka APaddedGuyJ! You might already know James from Tumblr: @APaddedGuy. He is 25 and from the United Kingdom. He's actually on Instagram and Twitter too - check out his contact info at the bottom.

Thanks, James!

Name/Nick: James (ApaddedguyJ)
Age: 25
City/State/Country: Wiltshire, UK
AB/DL/BabyFur/Other?: ABDL

When did you first realise you were ABDL?

Probably when I was around 16, or at least that’s when I first discovered the term ABDL and realised that was what I was. I’d discovered I liked wearing nappies earlier in my life (around 9\10) but it was several years before I realised there was any sort of term or community for it.

What steps did you take to get your diaper 'fix' as a child and/or teen?

When I first rediscovered nappies my parents used to child mind a lot so we often had open packs off nappies in the house. I can remember being curious and trying them when I was around 9 or 10.. I continued to sneak the odd one or two when I could until I out grew the sizes we had in the house.. Then there was a gap of a couple of years where I didn’t have any access until around 14yrs when I started a paper round and used to buy them from the shop I delivered for (I used to lie and say they were for a younger sibling and that I was just running an errand for my parents). It got a lot easier as I got older as I soon discovered the world of online shopping and was soon buying them online, mostly through sites like Amazon. I can remember the first time I ordered ABDL nappies, I only ordered a pack of two from Cuddlz, I think I was 17 at the time, and I was really nervous about them being delivered and my parents seeing it and asking questions.. As it happens I missed the delivered and had to pick it up from the local sorting office but it was still nerve racking.

Do your parents and/or siblings know about you and diapers? If so, please explain how, and how they reacted?

Not that I’m aware off.. If they do then they’ve never mentioned it. I’ve certainly never told them, but I have often thought about it. I make sure to keep it hidden from them, but some days I think life would be simpler if they did.

Have you dealt with the shame and regret that is the binge/purge cycle? Please explain.

Several times. Like many in our community I struggled to accept who\what I was, and through that developed a fear of anyone finding out.. Several times I would accumulate a few ABDL items, such as a dummy and a bottle, but then the fear would get too much or I’d be ashamed of it (I used to tell myself to grow up) and I’d chuck it all out but then a month or two later I’d miss it all and start again.

How has this fetish affected your social life and/or dating? Married life? Parenting?

It’s made things difficult, especially with dating. The social life aspect isn’t to bad as I’ve kept the two separate and don’t tell my friends about it. But that’s not something you can really do from a prospective partner.. sooner or later you have to tell them.. Out of fear of this and how they’d react I’ve always struggled to let people get too close or really get to know me, which as you can imagine makes dating difficult.

Some experts believe that we become the way we are because of traumas experienced at an early age, including abuse and/or neglect. Do your life experiences bear this out?

Not at all, in fact I would say I was very lucky growing up. I had a stable loving family so I can’t say it was down to abuse\or neglect. In fact I would say it was the complete opposite for me, I was the youngest child (of two) and was definitely a mummy’s boy growing up.. I guess my interest in ABDL stems back to those days when I was mummy’s little boy.

For the little dunces, please tell us about what it was like to discover this fetish/lifestyle on the Internet. Please be at least 18 at the time of writing, but be specific about what age you discovered it, what sites helped you, and keep this part PG for obvious reasons.

I honestly don’t know what I would have done if it hadn’t been for the internet! I first discovered the world of ABDL when I was 16. I’d just got my own computer. I don’t remember the first time I searched for it but I do know it was out of curiosity. I had already discovered I liked wearing nappies so googled it to see if it was normal. I was not expecting to find what I did but it changed my life. I remember using sites like RUPadded (yes, I know at the time I shouldn’t have been on these sites being under 18 but hey, I was curious :-), diaperbois and several forums\chat rooms.

Do your interests involve a subset of this community, such as babyfurs, diaper disciplinarians, wet/messy, sissybabies etc.? Please tell us about it. I won't even try to be specific here; just tell us what you think people should know.

In the beginning (I’m sure there’s a famous book that starts like that ;-) hehe) I was just in to ABDL, but the more I’ve seen of this amazing community the more I’ve become intrigued and interested in other aspects of the community; For me it all depends on what mood I’m in.. some days I just want to be a little boy, pad up and cuddle. Other days the whole role play, nappy discipline, control\submission and humiliation side come out. If you catch me on the right day you might even see a Sissybaby side to me. I know one thing for sure, I’m far from having discovered every subset of this community, there’s still a lot to try.

What % of your sexual activities and/or masturbation incorporate diapers? Has this caused problems for you?

As a teenager must of my masturbation involved nappies, either physically or mentally. As Ive got older not so much, the ‘little’ side of me has grown a lot recently so nappies are more a comfort\security thing now rather than a sexual thing, that said I do still have the odd fantasy about them. Ive never incorporated them into sexual activities with others, partly out of a fear of admitting I like them to a potential partner.

If you get into the regression aspect of ABDL please tell us more about that. If you do not, and you have feelings about being lumped into a fetish involving it, explain how it makes you feel.

As I mentioned in one of the questions above, it all depends on what mood I’m in and whether I’m in the right headspace. Some days I totally dig the regression aspect, and want nothing more than to be a little baby boy, safe in my daddies arms. Other days it might be more of a toddler or even older child kinda regression, going back to a time where nappies were an added layer of security, where you still need to be looked after, cared for and loved by a caregiver but aren’t completely dependant on them. Other days I just want to pad up and then carry on with the day as normal. So it all depends on the mood and the day.
