I’ve blogged about it a few times, both here and on my Tumblr blog: I met more local ABDLs in two months this past summer than I met in my former home in nine years.
For that an so many other reasons, the year 2017 was an amazing year for me.
From co-presenting at CAPCON, to hosting a bunch of ABDL overnights on the 'Luvs Boat', to being called ‘daddy’ for the first time, to just meeting local folk passing through, I’ve been very, very lucky indeed.
If you read the blog regularly, or follow me on Tumblr, you’ve seen pictures of new friends plastering my page since spring.
If we message on one of the diaper sites, text, KIK, or communicate somewhere else, you probably know that I’ve been so busy with new (and old) diaper friends I can barely keep up.
And if you’re local to where I live now - well, you already know.
Resolutions for next year include doing a better job keeping communication going - not allowing conversations to ‘fall off’ like they sometimes do. So often do.
Speaking of resolutions, I also hope to daddy things up a bit more after some amazing experiences this year. And I hope to begin making boating plans around CAPCON time, so get ready to hit me up with your vacation dates.
Honestly, I’m looking forward to so much for 2018.
In the meantime, I need to close out 2017 by thanking some of the people who have come into my life and made it the year that it was…

We've been friends for a long time - from meeting in the El to your visits to Orlando to splitting cars in Chicago to your visit to the boat, you're someone I can always count on in our community. Seriously - from helping me hang pictures to playing all the roles in my promotional videos, there's not much I can't count on you for. Here's hoping we become co-workers in 2018, in one way or another, like we told the Avis lady we used to be hehe.

It’s a privilege to have ‘big bro’ status, especially since I was the first ABDL you met in person and I know that bond doesn’t always last. In a world of purges and relationship changes, seeing that status still makes me happy every time I click through my Fetlife profile.
Following your around-the-world exploits makes me proud of the directions you’ve chosen, and your re-emergence into my life via our FaceTime chats, especially when I needed someone to talk to, was appreciated. Here’s hoping we’ll ‘connect’ even more in 2018, aye.

You’re not on Fetlife, but I've called you my ‘little bro’ since even before that site existed lol. I’ve long been proud of you, and continue to be so. From college essays to the latest interview news, I like feeling like I’m a part of whatever's going on with you. Loved seeing you each year at CAPCON, and will be very sorry not to reconnect with you this year. Thank you for remembering me with gifts of diapers from various corners of the globe - keep those coming.

We texted so much last year, and made so many plans after plans after plans to hang - all thwarted by the threat of snowflakes - so your visits in the fall made up for it. I had fun on our jaunt around the lakes, and hope to do that trip with you again one day. The day you took responsibility meant a lot to me. I hope you find true love, again, in 2018, even if it doesn’t come in padded form. Continue to be good, and safe…

Our non-ABDL exploits were an adventure this year. From stalking Maurice to our cross-county drive complete with a rescue, I couldn’t have asked for a better sign holder, GoPro cameraman, or swim test subject. We streamed, then I steamed, but in the end I still have high hopes for your munch efforts, and hope that they continue to grow over time - every community should have someone as dedicated to setting up social events as yours does.

Spending so much time with you at CAPCON pretty much made the event for me this year. I won’t lie: I liked that I was getting to spend time with someone who’s not just nice looking, but nice. After so many years of not nice, being able to meet and surround myself with people who are just good was good for me. Here’s hoping I’ll get to see you more in 2018, including some time on the Luvs Boat.

Meeting you was a refreshing experience - just hitting someone up, messaging a few times, and then meeting? That’s what’s up. In a community where you can talk to someone for years and still be just shy of meeting, that was nice. Glad my Luvs Boat events helped you expand your network, too. Hope to hang in Huggies again one day.
ML & FRIENDS
I think that I may have mentioned that you’re the only person thus far I didn’t feel the need to meet in a public place before giving you my slip number - your reputation precedes you. Finally getting to meet you this year was awesome - you are someone I’ve admired since the Aby.com days. Glad you and the boys made those trips out to the boat in 2017 - our playground excursion was a lot of fun, and just sitting around with so many like-minded people made buying the ‘Luvs Boat’ feel like a good investment. I hope to see you even more here, there, and everywhere in 2018… thanks for being such amazing people.

You live closer to me than any other ABDL, but I don’t get to see you enough. Still, thanks for caring and being a friend during a week that I especially needed one. You are a selfless, giving person, and I suspect that some of those in our community don’t deserve to call you a friend. Thanks for hooking me and Z up with some free pizza, boat wrestling, and friendship. Hope to enjoy a few more breakfasts with you in 2018 than I got to in 2018.

Co-presenting with you at CAPCON 2017 was an awesome experience. Thanks for taking the lead on that, proposing it and getting me on board. I was sorry we didn’t get to hang more, and we haven’t talked as much this year as we did in 2016 - a turbulent year for both of us - but I like seeing you do well, and I’m glad that you are one of the people in the community that makes a consistent effort to stay in touch. Hope 2018 is an amazing one for you.

I can say with certainty that I’ve never met anyone like you, within our community or outside of it.
In my mind I see your excited smile as I drive across the parking lot, and the realization that you're looking forward to this time just as much as I am still makes me smile. Seeing you go so deep into littlespace that you became unintelligible - that was one of the most satisfying ABDL experiences I’ve ever had.
From the first cuddle in the car to your holding onto my hand inside Walmart, you helped me awaken to my ‘daddy’ instincts in ways I find hard to even explain. Whether doing photoshoots on the boat or eating a great meal somewhere, you are someone I can say I honestly enjoyed being around every single moment. I'll write a whole blog series about it eventually; in the meantime, missing the fuck out of you and hoping things are going well. You are an amazing kid, and getting to know you capped off an already-stellar 2017. Thanks for everything.
OTHERS…
I’ve reached out to a few people directly, and there are more who I’ve not included here who I probably could have, and maybe should have.
The list above is limited to people I’ve met in person.
But so many more of you have meant something to me in 2017.
If you regularly send me special videos to wake up to, know that our connection means a lot to me.
If we’ve FaceTime’d so I can show you off to a friend… same goes.
If we have long, philosophical conversations about the origins of infantilism… or you send me ‘tips’ on the n’er-do-wells in our community - or you just call me sometimes so we can chat - so many of you brightened things for me in 2017, and I want you to know that I appreciate you, too.
For 2018 I’ll be meeting up with more people at CAPCON, and maybe other cons.
And I’ll be inviting more people out to the boat: local people from Syracuse and surrounding who never made it in 2017, and some national/international littles, too.
I might even do a little traveling.
If you and I are still keeping it virtual, and you want to meet in person, I look forward to turning whatever we have into a real friendship in the New Year - let’s get the planning started.
Thanks for making 2017 such a great year fro me.
