Update...

When I started blogging in 2008 there were a ton of 'diaper blogs' that were, for lack of a better word, 'defunct'. People had started with a vigor, but for whatever reason - lack of readership, lack of time, lack of interest - they'd... slowly... stopped... blogging.

I was determined that my blog would never be like that.

And, over the years, you guys - my readers, and friends, within our community - helped me. You've contributed a shit ton of articles, stories, and pictures. (My, have you contributed pictures.)

So even when I do get too busy to blog... or just have a temporary binge/purge period and lose interest... I've always had other stuff to post. This has kept the readership up. I definitely appreciate that.

In March I got a promotion at work. A few weeks later, I got another one. I'm now working in the position I've been wanting for several years now. Needless to say, I've thrown myself into my work a bit.

This means, though, that I've had to slack on the blog.

It also doesn't help that I have a company laptop now, which I pretty much have to carry with me everywhere, which means my own laptop, formerly on me nearly 24/7, doesn't travel to nearly as many places. I used to grab my laptop at the park, or the airport, or the coffee shop, and - whenever I was feeling creative - bang out a story for the blog. Can't really do that anymore, so...

I definitely do feel bad.

I am encouraged, though, by the number of you have continued to come to the blog on the regular. When I sat down to write this today, there were six other people viewing abysitter.com. Six! Even though I haven't posted much lately. And that's what's up...

I wish our community was such that I could share more about my personal life, including my personal successes, with you. I've made a whole bunch of real-life friends through our diaper community, and I have taken the opportunity to share a lot with each of them. But for everyone else who I don't know personally - especially those of you who've hit me up to ask if everything is okay - just know that things are great - but when things are great for me, sometimes my blogging suffers.

I will try to do better, and post more in the future.

Please, please, please... keep sending me stuff to fill the void with - just email your stuff to abysitter@gmail.com - 18+ of course.

Oh... and definitely keep in touch.

Operation Baby Boy

I receive Google news alerts on stories where "diaper" is mentioned in an article. This is how I manage to come up with so many sad "HallOfShame" entries.

This week, one story was pushed to the top of my news alerts, and it's stayed there. It made me sick to my stomach; a story about child abuse so shocking that the child in question, a five year-old boy, was found starved to the point of frailness, beaten so severely he had skin falling off his body.

This is heartbreaking enough, until you come to the part of the story that thrust this little boy into my news alerts. Like so many other stories - Christian Choate, etc. - and like some of the people in our own community, the little boy was being kept in only a diaper.

At first I wasn't going to link this story. The photos are horrific, and I know some people had flashbacks when I posted the updates about Christian Choate. Today I saw that Anonymous has made this story a cause célèbre, however; it's going to blow up, probably. You're going to see in across Facebook and Twitter. You might as well see it here.

I'll be helping. I hope, if you have the means, you'll consider doing so as well.

Carnival Part III

Up today I have even more Carnival diaper pictures, thanks to Vincent VanGoo. Today we have a parade - that's right, a fucking parade - with a float filled with diaperboys. A float

I promise you if I was standing at Carnival watching a parade, and a float filled with diaperboys came rolling on by, I'd be the one risking life and limb to climb aboard.

You can read more about Carnival here. Special Note: It's important to remember that the individuals in these photos aren't necessarily ABDL. One thing is clear... almost everyone in the pictures here looks 100% comfortable in diapers... I'd love to be able to do the diapers-in-public thing and be so chill about it, even if it is just once a year.

Thanks, as always, Vince!

Does anyone know more about this parade?
Or this float?
If so, hit me up: abysitter@gmail.com.

More... to... come...
