Q&A With Joshy!

Name/Nick:  Joshy
Age:   2 (Real age: 33)
City/State/Country:   Buffalo, NY
AB/DL/BabyFur/Other?  AB

When did you first realize you were ABDL?

I've always had a thing for diapers since I tried on one of my younger brothers diapers as a child.  The safety, softness, and security it gave me when I tried it on stayed with me.  Looking back, "babification" always tended to come into playing with my friends with some sort of magic spell or something and I was fascinated by it on TV.  I didn't think much of it back then, but thinking about it now, the tendency has always been there.  Once I got into middle school/high school, the desires started slipping back into my head and then I started doing searched for it online where I found stories, pictures, and a few stores online that opened up my mind to this world.  It wasn't until I was 26 or 27 and moved out onto my own when I started discovering baby clothes and that I wasn't just a DL, but more of an AB as well.

What steps did you take to get your diaper 'fix' as a child and/or teen?

I use to either put on a lot of briefs to get the padding feeling, or I would take a towel and wrap it around me with a plastic bag os the moisture didn't leak out. I was a bedwetter up until college so a few nights my parents would try to wake me up they found me with plastic around my waist and just told me they wish they knew what I dreamed of and was thinking about.  Once I moved out onto my own, I was able to buy some offline and it was a lot easier.

Do your parents and/or siblings know about you and diapers? If so, please explain how, and how they reacted.

Yes / No.  My parents and I were discussing someone who had some kinks and I told them that there is nothing wrong with them as long as they don't hurt anyone.  I told them even if I have some and they responded that they knew about mine and then asked me if I would answer honestly if they said what it was.  They said the word "baby" and I just nodded my head and said yes.  There was no more discussion about it and that response was all I needed from them regarding it.  I do not know how much they know about it, but I'm guessing they at least know about the diapers which I'm thinking they found in my room when I lived with them.

Have you dealt with the shame and regret that is the binge/purge cycle? Please explain.

I have experienced the binge/purge cycle but it was more about someone in my house finding it.  I had to travel a bit when I started working, so leaving my diapers and clothes just in a closet never sat well with me.  I never really had somewhere that was 100% completely private to keep my stuff, so being discovered and not knowing how to explain it was more of my worry then.

How has this fetish affected your social life and/or dating? Married life? Parenting.

Early on, it use to make me hesitant to date someone because I'd eventually have to explain it to them and I wasn't fully sure I understood it enough to know how much of a part of me it is. Today, it's not the limiting factor in my social life, and I'd be happy to explain it to anyone who asked.

Some experts believe that we become the way we are because of traumas experienced at an early age, including abuse and/or neglect. Do your life experiences bear this out?

Psychology - one of my favorite subjects!  I also believe we have certain behaviors and habits today that are from our childhood, whether the ABDL lifestyle is because of that or if it was learned because it became a centerpoint of sexual pleasure as a teen though, I'm not sure.  I was never abused or neglected, just not heard or understood at times.  I'm sure part of my little side is from the family dynamic I was in, but I can't pinpoint it exactly and probably never will -  I find it better to accept it and enjoy what I can with it :)

Do your interests involve a subset of this community, such as babyfurs, diaper disciplinarians, wet/messy, sissybabies etc.? Please tell us about it. I won't even try to be specific here; just tell us what you think people should know.

I've gotten in to the sissy baby subset a few times, but it's not a headspace I get into on my own and rarely ever do.  I like the little bit of embarassment it provides as well as the submissiveness of it.  Hypnosis is another thing I get into as I find it relaxing and because I tend to be shy around new people, if I trust the hypnotist, they can help lower my inhibitions a bit to regress for them.

What % of your sexual activities and/or masturbation incorporate diapers? Has this caused problems for you?

I wear diapers about 21 hours a day and 7 days a week right now, so all my sexual activities are in my diapers.  I consider diapers and ABDL non-sexual for myself and when I'm regressed and feeling like a little boy, having sex doesn't even register for me.  It hasn't caused problems for me as of yet, but who knows in the future :)

If you get into the regression aspect of ABDL please tell us more about that. If you do not, and you have feelings about being lumped into a fetish involving it, explain how it makes you feel.

I have found that regression is pretty natural for me and I do it really easily with the right treatment from someone.  When I'm regressing myself, I forget about everything in the world and just put my focus on coloring or playing in the bath or just being in the moment.  Being regressed by someone else, I tend to have a hard time thinking and sometimes forget my letters or how to talk very good.  I just love the intimate moments of the baby/parent thing like bedtime stories and diaper changes and cuddling and bottle feeding.  It's so special and intimate and it just makes you feel cared for and loved.
