Up tonight: a Q&A from Baby L.
Baby L has contributed to the blog before, both an informative essay on using caution when meeting up with people off of diaper sites - many of you have written asking for the link to it as you found it helpful and wanted to post it on various diaper forums. L has also posted pictures in the past, as well. Some of that same adorableness appears here, today.
Thanks, Baby L!

Q&A With Baby L
Name/Nick: Baby L
Age: Somewhere between 18-25
City/State/Country: Midwest/US
AB/DL/BabyFur/Other? AB/DL
The questions are:
• When did you first realize you were ABDL?
Age 12, I realized what it was to be an AB/DL, but several years before I began to take an interest in diapers- and baby things, and pregnant bellies!
• What steps did you take to get your diaper 'fix' as a child and/or teen?
I was lucky enough to live down the street from a little market that carried Goodnites. Which was amazing, considering the time - because they weren't as available as they are now. No patterns or colors, just plain white Goodnites and thick! I remember going in the store for weeks plotting it out as if I was carrying out a bank robbery. After I bought the first package, I thought I'd shake to death on the walk home - never had something ever made me soooo excited. I continued to buy them infrequently. I also ordered samples from various sites, hoping they would hit the mail on weekdays so my parents wouldn't snatch them up.
• Do your parents and/or siblings know about you and diapers? If so, please explain how, and how they reacted?
A tough one to think about, after living out of the house so long but yes, my parents know - Ill say knew, and tell you why. I got a little out of hand with my stash, and it was becoming hard to hide. One day I came home after school and my mom was home cleaning out my closet. Wow was I scared to death! On my bed was a bag of Secure Plus, that she had found. She immediately asked where I had gotten them, I instinctively lied and told her Walgreens, luckily only we AB/DLs know the true availability in stores. She asked why and I couldn't answer, but also has found pictures I has printed off from the Internet. Whoops! Long story short, my parents sent me to therapy. I made it to one appointment, was disgusted and never went back. They continued to pay until I left for college, some 3 years later. Its never been brought up again, Im sure they've assumed I'm healed.
• Have you dealt with the shame and regret that is the binge/purge cycle? Please explain.
I've not dealt with it well! Up until recently my purges would be very intense- I would cancel my accounts on sites, withdraw from talking to anyone, and bury my head in the sand. One thing that has helped me was to identify some of the trauma associated with the reason I am who I am. This has helped a lot, but I still have a long way to go.
• For collegebabies/DLs, did this interest affect your college experiences? If so, how?
Hmmm. Well the effects have been pretty limited for me. Was not lucky enough to attend a school where someone of like kind was available to play with. So I continued to play alone, including when I had roommates without anyone knowing. I live alone now, and I am in diapers from the time I get home, until the time I leave home in the morning. Really doesn't take a way from the fun, I promise!
• How has this fetish affected your social life and/or dating? Married life? Parenting?
This has definitely limited my dating life to some extent, as I don't want to bring this on someone and have it become an issue in our relationship. I am taking the time to understand why I am this way, and going from there. It will not always limit my dating life.
• Some experts believe that we become the way we are because of traumas experienced at an early age, including abuse and/or neglect. Do your life experiences bear this out?
Unfortunate I am one of the ones who's trauma has manifested itself again in my life in weird ways. I use diapers and regression to go back to a time before I was abused, as if I can either repair the damage, or keep it from happening. I've yet to overcome that, but will!
• For the little dunces, please tell us about what it was like to discover this fetish/lifestyle on the Internet. Please be at least 18 at the time of writing, but be specific about what age you discovered it, what sites helped you, and keep this part PG for obvious reasons.
Wow. It was amazing to find out I wasn't crazy. I thought for the longest time that this would be something I would get over, or move past - until I met others of all ages who felt the same way. I've met some great people, but more creeps than good people. I started on ABY, and the original Diaper Boys. Then as those fell apart I migrate to DLBoy an the original RuP(way different than now). I credit those sites for helping me out a ton! There's not a book you can pick up at the bookstore on this stuff, it's learn as you live
• Do your interests involve a subset of this community, such as babyfurs, diaper disciplinarians, wet/messy, sissybabies etc.? Please tell us about it. I won't even try to be specific here; just tell us what you think people should know.
Diaper discipline is hot, enough said. I insist on using my diapers- so wet/messy including caths and enemas. Light BDSM play and medical as well. All tie back to diapers though!
• What % of your sexual activities and/or masturbation incorporate diapers? Has this caused problems for you?
It has changed as I age, now about 70/30, but hoping to get a way from it more. It has caused problems for me, because any sexual release presents the opportunity to relive some of my childhood trauma, and I don't want to identify that with diapers.
• If you get into the regression aspect of ABDL please tell us more about that. If you do not, and you have feelings about being lumped into a fetish involving it, explain how it makes you feel.
Regression is important to me sometimes to get away from the stresses of being grown. Younger guys think they've got it figured out, and then life hits you like a ton of bricks.
Don't let yourself be limited by my questions. If you have anything else at all that you would like to say please feel free to say it here:
