Sorry, meant to post an alert over the weekend. One of our friends, Baby Mattie, appeared on the Steve Harvey Show on Monday! Mattie's photos have appeared here in the past, including this one from August 2013, where he helped us celebrate an accumulated 200,000 unique daily views.
Mattie was approached by a Steve Harvey Show producer, who'd caught his diaper personal online and wanted to know if he'd do a segment of the show. Unfortunately, the segment was called "Is It Weird." Mattie went to Chicago and taped the segment, hoping to be able to explain our community a bit to those without an understanding. Steve, though, is a comedian, and he wasn't interested in listening, as much as he was in doing what comedians do. Still, Matt did a pretty good job of holding his own, and if the comments on the Steve Harvey Facebook page were any indication, many of his viewers found Matt to be a "nice guy" and "attractive" - and some told Steve he owed Matt an apology for being mean and/or bullying him.
There were, of course, the usual comments from people who think that diapers are disgusting and (blah blah blah... insert shit vanilla people say here).
Fuck 'em. Somewhere out there is a kid who's afraid to look anything up on the internet, who's been feeling alone, and who, flipping past the dial, caught a normal, well-adjusted dude who admits to the world that he likes to wear diapers. We were all that kid once. Fuck the haters.
