HELP WANTED: ABDL WEBSITE GUIDE

I have been approached by a few people about doing a guide on the various websites in our community. 

I'll be honest... I haven't even been on most of the sites in over a month. I'm padded nearly 24/7 and have had some real-life diapering experiences lately, but I've been so busy with real-life stuff that I'm barely attached lately. 

Some of you are site experts. I will be asking you for your feedback on each of the sites. I want the good, the bad, and the ugly. From sites with awesome interfaces and a community feel, to site security and privacy issues, I want to hear it all.

My vacation begins in three weeks, and I've spend a few days trying to get organized. This includes going through my contacts on my iPhone, and my Google Voice account, trying to update addressbooks and vCards for people. 

Going through my contact information, I realized how many of my diaper friends have become real life friends. We may have met in person, or even hang out on a semi-regular basis. But even if we have never met, some of you have become a regular part of my life.

I can honestly say that, when it comes to friendships, a percentage of my friends are real-life non-ABDL friends (in New York and Florida), a percentage are social networking friends, and a percentage are AB/DL friends. Some of you have become as much a part of my life as my real-life friends. We may talk almost daily via texting, or semi-weekly via hour-long phone conversations. A few of you send me picture texts and emails a lot, either with hot diaper photos (yay!) or maybe just with updates on how you're doing in college (that's what's up!)

I have a lot of diaper friends, and a lot of non-ABDL friends too. I need to do a better job of keeping track of everyone.

Just like all of us, I have a shit ton of different levels of people I know in the AB/DL community. 

I'd rank them in this order:

• People I don't like and think represent the worst of our community.
• People I'm not particularly fond of but can tolerate.
• People who I am friends with on diaper sites. We may chat on YIM or even email occasionally.
• People I'm really good friends with on diaper sites. We probably text on my Google Voice number and email regularly.
• People I am friends with in real life, or at least real life online. You may chat with me on iMessage. We may have hours long convo's on the phone. You may have 'little brother' status. We could possibly be friends on my real-life Facebook.
• People I've met in person. We probably iMessage or Facebook chat all the time. Or just hang out.
• People I wish I could marry. Or at least date. Heheh.

Looking at that list, maybe I should have put them in reverse order... eek!

And that doesn't even include the people with fake identities, secret identities, and all of that.

But seriously... if you subscribe to my mailing list or read my blog, you are somewhere in that list. 

Most of you are probably not in the bottom two, so be chill. 

And, if you have similar categories for your ABDL life, I am somewhere in your list. I'm well aware it may not be near the top. And that's okay. Hopefully it's not the "think represents the worst in our community" section. Who knows? Some of you don't even go as far as real life Facebook or above when it comes to ABDL etc. - and that's understandable, too.

But anyway: I am trying to get more organized. So I'm asking everyone who I do talk with on a semi-regular basis, be it on diaper sites, Yahoo instant messenger, via email, diaper Facebook, real life Facebook, Google Voice texting, iMessage texting, etc. to get at me with updated contact info.

This only applies to those of you who I talk to regularly. If you prefer to remain a reader and not stay in touch, I have no problem with that. But if we talk a lot, please help me be less disorganized, and reply with any of the below you feel comfortable sharing.

1. Name (full name is preferable if we are at that texting/iMessage level, but if not first name is cool)
2. Username (your name on the ABDL sites)
3. Email (if we talk via email), instant messengers, and etc.
4. Phone number (please specify if it's an iPhone, yo - and if it's a real phone or an app)
5. Photo (diapered is cool, or face, if you wanna share one, for my iPhone/GTalk contacts)
6. Link to any ABDL sites you want to share
7. Your Facebook (if we are on a real name basis)

You, of course, decide which of the seven you want to hit me up with. 

I will be updating my address books soon, so I actually know who I am communicating with going forward. Some of you know how awful I am at communication. I'm trying to improve, especially for people I am regularly in contact with. So if you and I are friends in real life, close ABDL friends, or if you just want to get to know me better and/or hope to hook up an abysitting session down the road... hit me up.

Q&A: Diaperfur

Up today, I have a Q&A with Diaperfur. He's also sent some awesome pictures that I think you'll enjoy. If he looks familiar, it's because he won the "Best in Show - Canada" prize in my recent #ABDL Photo Contest.

When did you first realize you were ABDL?

I must have been six or seven years old and one day i was watching my brother who was still in diapers at that time get changed by my mom.

Something in my mind just clicked and i really wanted to wear them again. So soon after when i realised i was alone i scooped up one of my brothers pampers from his supply. I remember the feel and smell of it and i was in love. Quickly i got out of my cloths and taped the diaper on me the best i could but it was a little tight. Loved how it looked on me as i stood infront of a nearby mirror. From then on I was hooked.



What steps did you take to get your diaper 'fix' as a child and/or teen?

For a while i use to make makeshift diapers out of plasticbags and papertowels to get that nice plasticy feel. Also use cloth towels with safety pins i had around. Later on i would buy small sample packs from drug stores that we would normally not goto to avoid being noticed.


Do your parents and/or siblings know about you and diapers? If so, please explain how, and how they reacted?

No one in my family knows and i plan to keep it that way. I have a few close friends who know me personally are aware.


 
Have you dealt with the shame and regret that is the binge/purge cycle? Please explain.

I have no shame or regret to what i do. I wear for enjoyment and security.




How has this fetish affected your social life and/or dating? Married life? Parenting?

I really wouldn't call it a fetish anymore, its a way of life for me. I always wear to bed and during the day when i can. If i have company over I normally won't be diapered at all.



Some experts believe that we become the way we are because of traumas experienced at an early age, including abuse and/or neglect. Do your life experiences bear this out?

I've had no traumas that i can remember. I do know that my parents always wanted me to growup faster than i thought i should have at a young age which may have
a part in it.




For the older generation, please tell us more about what it was like being ABDL before social networking. I will be looking for the perspectives of members in their 40s, 50s, and even higher.

Well before i found the internet i never realised there were so many others like me :)




For the little dunces, please tell us about what it was like to discover this fetish/lifestyle on the Internet. Please be at least 18 at the time of writing, but be specific about what age you discovered it, what sites helped you, and keep this part PG for obvious reasons.

It was a joy to find others on the net. First found the old school DPF site and newsgroups. Eventually other social sites started to pop uo.



Do your interests involve a subset of this community, such as babyfurs, diaper disciplinarians, wet/messy, sissybabies etc.? Please tell us about it. I won't even try to be specific here; just tell us what you think people should know.

I have a big presense in the Diaperfur and Babyfur community in the furry fandom. I found this community too just after getting online back in 1995.



If you get into the regression aspect of ABDL please tell us more about that. If you do not, and you have feelings about being lumped into a fetish involving it, explain how it makes you feel.

Regressing doesn't happen to often for me. I have to be in the right mood to partake in it. I do own a few onesies and a footedsleeper. Plus of course plushies to keep me company.
