Con Drop Is Real...

CON DROP IS REAL

LittleBroTyTy at CAPCON 2017
‘Con drop’ is real.
Con drop is that feeling of angst we get when we realize we’re leaving a place where we truly fit in for once, and returning to... real life
We wait our whole lives for the kind of cameraderie we achieve at events like CAPCON.
Conventions are a place where being little, being different, or even being ‘weird’ feels completely natural. So leaving such a place brings on a depressed state that is, for many of us, like no other.
At Con we can run around in diapers, a onesie, or a footed sleeper, and nobody bats an eye.
We begin to feel comfortable in our own skin - or the diapers that cover it. For some of us attending for the first time, it’s the first time we’ll feel that comfortable.
We can literally change outfits every hour, and there’s always going to be someone new to tell us how adorable we look. That feels so empowering, hearing that! And it’s something most of us won’t be able to recapture once we leave this space, at least until we return.
Even if we were dressed as vanilla as could be, we could still have conversations out in the open that we can’t have back home. I talked to a man in a bar about changing a college boy’s first diaper since his toddler days, and the people at the next table joined in with a similar story of their own. Try having that conversation at Applebee’s tomorrow and see if you get the same reaction…
Most of us walked through a virtual mall of ABDL merchandise: diapers, and onesies, and pacifiers, and little gear, and adult baby furniture - tomorrow most of us will have to go back to shopping for those things online. Before this weekend we didn’t mind - now we’ve been waited on by the Casey, and going back to a dot com shopping experience just won’t feel the same.
Whether we spent most of our time this weekend snuggling in one of the cribs, playing in a playpen, racing tricycles around the track at top speed, or just taking deep breaths in the corner and trying to get the courage to talk to someone - or, in some cases, anyone - wherever we’re headed back to tomorrow, it’s likely we won’t be doing any of those things.
Some of us will go to a rave this weekend - but it won’t be the rave.
Some of us will return to classes - but they won’t be these classes.
Once the con organizers start taking down those barriers, this experience known as CAPCON is coming to a close, and real life is rearing its ugly head once again.
So we go back to real life, and what we know as ‘con drop’ begins.
For the first-timers… what is con drop?
First, be prepared to feel irritable for no reason - and to not understand why.
When coworkers or friends bother you with things that seem important to them, but ‘little you’ now realizes is grown-up trivial bullshit, you will resent the shit out of them - so much more so than usual.
Even ordinary responsibilities you were used to before con will seem like such an arduous chore after.
Everyday life stuff will feel exhausting and overwhelming after this high that we experienced over the weekend.
All that contributes to the feelings that we know as ‘con drop’.

Q&A With Aulden

[CWIS'S NOTE] Up today I have a Q&A from Aulden. You may know Aulden from ABDL.link or Twitter. He'll be presenting a class on internet safety at CAPCON this weekend, so if you're in the area, stop in and check it out. Thanks, Aulden!

Want to do a Q&A for my blog? Email me at abysitter@gmail.com - just put "Q&A" in the subject, I'll reply with the questions. [18+]

Q&A with Aulden

Bio: Aulden is a poly abdl who currently lives in Boston, MA with his partner AJ. He's an avid reader of classic fiction and nerdy non-fiction alike. Voted the simultaneous biggest bab and most likely to kick your butt in MMA, he can be a handful when he's asked to stay still. When he's not pooping his pants, he can be found taking care of other babs who do or listening to Yoko Ono's rendition of Fireworks by Katy Perry (you're welcome). His coping strategies for stress include watching depressing anime until he stops feeling things and drinking more kombucha than a Soul Cycle instructor from the Bay Area. Aulden works in technology and enjoys tinkering and learning new things especially when they involve robots with cute faces. Once he stops being an aloof bitch around you (which may take some time), you can expect to hear him say strange combinations of words and cycle rabidly between manic sugar highs and severe sleepiness. In summary, he is one strange cream cheese cat.

Name/Nick: Aulden

Age: 26

City/State/Country: All Over

AB/DL/BabyFur/Other? ABDL

When did you first realize you were ABDL?

For me, it all started with a little pee action. While I was tickling my friend, he peed his pants and it drove me absolutely crazy. I also peed my pants out of fear pretty consistently. So Omorashi fantasies and experimentation took off from there. I grew up in fairly rural areas and my parents weren't the most attentive, so peeing my pants was pretty easy to get away with. Rivers and watering holes were definitely my allies in those days. I loved the feeling of losing control and the warmth and infantile comfort that wetting myself gave me but I also grew fonder of the humiliation factor as well and watching others lose control. I was lucky enough that a few of my friends wet the bed and had some potty problems until pretty late, so I was around a fair share of pants peeing boys and girls. One boy in particular certainly formed a lot of my Lovemap.

This all transmuted into abdl when I started using the internet around ten years old. We didn't have a computer until then, but I certainly made up for lost time quickly. I stumbled on a Deeker (cringe) story one day about a boy who gets put back in diapers for Thanksgiving and I was hooked. Many of the ideas around humiliation, power dynamics, diaper usage, diaper dependency, caregiver dynamics, messing were all-new or much more developed than what I had thought of in my own fantasies prior.

What steps did you take to get your diaper 'fix' as a child and/or teen?

I wore thick underwear and toilet paper or multiple layers of undies for a while when I was a kid. I would pee small amounts through the day and it would hold up ok. Also, I was a little jock so it helped all my clothes dried super quick (shoutout to Nike and Speedo) and I was in an out of water frequently. When I was a teenager, I would order goodnights to different abandoned houses using a pre-paid credit card and sneakily grab them at night.

Do your parents and/or siblings know about you and diapers? If so, please explain how, and how they reacted?

Yes, my mother found out when I was twelve after setting up a new anti-virus software on our network that listed all of the websites anyone in the house visited. Suffice it to say, our conversation around it didn't go well haha. Later that same year she unlocked my computer and saw some pretty pervy conversations I was having with an older couple in California who offered to adopt me. I was actually thinking of going forward with it but that conversation also didn't go very well as you can imagine. From that day forward, I started going to see a therapist which actually ended up being very helpful in the long-term.

A few of my close vanilla friends know now and are supportive. Growing up has been great in a lot of ways and I don't feel as anxious to hide it as before. In this version of reality that we're living in the United States right now, few things surprise or embarrass me anymore.

Some experts believe that we become the way we are because of traumas experienced at an early age, including abuse and/or neglect. Do your life experiences bear this out?

Sadly yes haha. I'd love to break that narrative and I think there are so many exceptions that it seems less prevalent nowadays but I was abused for a long time and there are certain aspects of my sex life/identity that are directly related to this. A lot of diaper usage and physical touch in abdl activities reflect pieces of my experience that I have sought to reclaim and translate into safety and comfort. That being said, it's something I still struggle with and it makes it much harder for me to feel comfortable around people I don't know and any situation I might have trouble processing. It doesn't help that I have Kleine-Levin Syndrome which makes some stimulus hard for me to deal with at times as is haha. I do really applaud the abdl and ace community for being a safe haven for people who need to rebuild or in general have experienced trauma.

Do your interests involve a subset of this community, such as babyfurs, diaper disciplinarians, wet/messy, sissybabies etc.? Please tell us about it. I won't even try to be specific here; just tell us what you think people should know.

Not really but I am a big fan of little messy pants babs and being a stinker myself. However, in general I'm kind of all over the place but many of my partners come to the table with different interests and it's part of what I love exploring with people. I'm a pansexual, switch, poly, aquarius (exhale) so there is really no limit to my chaotic experimental energy.

What % of your sexual activities and/or masturbation incorporate diapers? Has this caused problems for you?

Probably close to 100%. I certainly had a hard time with this when I was younger. I didn't date some really amazing people because I didn't think they would accept this part of me. Which caused me to feel very lonely and isolated. After getting some perspective and growing up a lot, I do think that being a queer abdl has given me a very unique perspective on the world. Some of the brightest and most interesting people I've met are in the community and with every year that goes by I see how the community broadens and the world becomes more accepting. One of my dreams is to open up the first state-funded kink-friendly college in Germany!

If you get into the regression aspect of ABDL please tell us more about that. If you do not, and you have feelings about being lumped into a fetish involving it, explain how it makes you feel.

Regression is magic! I find that it has helped me let go of some of my hangups around gender and masculinity as well which has been a bonus. Being able to let everything go and be wide-eyed and bushy-tailed again is an experience I think everyone should be able to have at least once as an adult. It took me a while to be able to find someone who could get me into the headspace but, once I got there, I realized how similar it was to the nirvana you can experience with mindfulness meditation, rigorous athletics, or deep creative expression. Everything else in the world just goes away and you transcend.

What was YOUR hardest ABDL moment?

What was your biggest challenge?

I've been blogging at Abysitter.com for more than 11 years.

I did my first survey of the community in 2011 - with just over 100 respondents taking the time to answer questions for my blog.

The 'Origins of ABDL' survey I sent out in 2018 had more than 1,500 respondents - and it took, on average, nearly 30 minutes to complete. Some of the intensely personal information people shared floored me.

More than 100 of you have taken the time to answer the Q&A questions for the my Q&A series. (A few dozen more have been working on them for a few years lol...)

And a number of you have written guest entries for the blog, as well.

When I put out a request for community members to join the Puppy Panel for my new website, I had several volunteers in the first few hours.   (I hope for the same when I ask for volunteers for the baby fur and DDLG communities in the future).

In short, our community has a plethora of people willing to answer questions about our fetish/lifestyle, our community, and their experiences in it. You never let me down.

In preparation for a segment on the new website I am launching this month, I am asking my blog readers (and mailing list subscribers) to share something personal with me.

I would like to ask you to describe, if you are up to it, your hardest moment as an ABDL thus far.

Whether this was in the realization that you were different... being caught or found out... or something that happened once you became a member of the community... I'll leave that to you.

If you are up for an answer, please reply, keeping in mind that answers I receive may, unless you specify otherwise, be shared on my blog/website.

Please start by providing your username, age, location, and preferred social media link (if any). And, if you'd like to include a photo, you may - photos may be shared, but are totally optional.

Thanks for any help you can provide in this...

Special Delivery?

Spotted these in the store today...
some brand new concept from Huggies called Special Delivery.

It's their perfect diaper!

As someone who follows the disposable diaper market trends,
I'm interested in seeing what, exactly, makes this diaper perfect

How soon until an ABDL diaper company
comes out with their own 'Special Delivery' brand,
complete with sleek packaging
(and, I'd guess, a very premium price)?

And what would the perfect ABDL diaper look like?

Q&A With Olly

[CWIS'S NOTE] Up today I have the first Q&A for 2020, from Olly!

Want to do a Q&A for my blog? Email me at abysitter@gmail.com and put "Q&A" in the subject - I'll reply with the questions! 18+

Q&A With Olly

Name: Olly! or you may have seen me go by @olly_diaperpup on insta and twitter
Age: 26
City/State/Country: Montreal, Canada
ABDL/Babyfur/Other: half and half AB and DL, depends on my mood of the day haha! I would love to get more into baby fur though! Definitely on my radar!

When did you first realize you were ABDL?

Oh yes, haha, the age old question.

I never really got out of diapers to be honest, I "potty trained" around 5 but then my younger siblings were born and I started stealing their diapers out of attention (or let's be honest, spite :P). So, it just kinda stuck, and ever since then I've been in and out of diapers.

What steps did you take to get your diaper 'fix' as a child and/or teen?

I had so many ways of trying to get my hands on diapers as a kid, most of them failed attempts tbh. Once my family had the chance to use the cottage of my dad's business partner, do I remember the cottage, nah of course not, what stuck with me though is walking going through the rooms and finding a fully stocked nursery for the guys kid.  Let's just say I grab more than a couple diapers during that trip and a paci or teddy.

Do your parents and/or siblings know about you and diapers? If so, please explain how, and how they reacted?

I've never been actually caught by one of my parents, but, I'm pretty sure they know haha.  I've had onesies and sleepers organized in my closet before or found soggy pamps in bags that I was too scared to throw out gone.  I wish I had a better story of my dad or brother forcing me into diapers :P but alas I'm just glad they never said anything.

Have you dealt with the shame and regret that is the binge/purge cycle? Please explain.

I definitely have, especially when I lived at home in the middle of nowhere.  I think it tends to occur with littles, when they are in a phase of desperation, at least imo.  Either from a break up due to incompatibility or due to a lack of ABDL's in their local area.  You feel like you need to start over and if you throw everything away or send it off to someone you know online that it will make everything better.  Spoiler, It doesn't and you just start right back up again once you see someone online or meet another local bab.  I find, it's not that it gets better as you get old, it just gets easier to manage the more you move up in life, new job/city/living situation and slowly it doesn't bother you as much.

For collegebabies/DLs, did this interest affect your college experiences? If so, how?

I'm not in college anymore per se haha, but, being more open about my Abdl side in college was one of the best things that ever happened to me.  I met a bunch of great local babs that really helped me come out of my shell! I was nice to have an escape outside of school and home life where we could regress and just have fun!

How has this fetish affected your social life and/or dating?

I think it's actually had less of an impact than it might have if I had given it the chance, if you understand? haha.  My abdl side eventually led me down a whole bunch of weird, albeit fun, fetishes that range from pup play to rubber.  I have always tried to maintain a good half/half fetish and vanilla social life but sometimes depending what I want to get into it can be hard to turn down vanilla events to go to fetish ones.  As for dating, that's always been a challenge up until present day I guess.  I'm currently seeing a great guy but, he's vanilla and it does get to be a problem in terms of experience and knowledge. We have compromised by opening the relationship, so ideally, any daddies looking for another little to cuddle and change diapers for hit me up haha!

Do your interests involve a subset of this community, such as babyfurs, diaper disciplinarians, wet/messy, sissybabies etc.? Please tell us about it. I won't even try to be specific here; just tell us what you think people should know

I guess here I'd say that I'm becoming more and more open to the furry/babyfur world as well as the sissy world, pink is pretty cool! I do enjoy a messy diaper occasionally, but who wants to clean that up! Yuck!  Yeah, I'm still exploring and learning and trying out new things! I'm sure there's a whole bunch of fetishes I don't even know of yet :3

What % of your sexual activities and/or masturbation incorporate diapers? Has this caused problems for you?

I've never really had any issues with this aspect to be honest, diapers for me are really all about letting go and being cared for by someone so not really sexual for me.  I'm usually locked in Chasity while diapered anyways so there's not much I can say about that :P

If you get into the regression aspect of ABDL please tell us more about that. If you do not, and you have feelings about being lumped into a fetish involving it, explain how it makes you feel.

I love the feeling of regressing, I go to about age 2.  Where I can be plopped on a carpet and be made to play with some toys or some video games and zone out and not think about anything apart from when I'm getting my bottle or if daddy has to take me away from what I'm doing to change or check my diaper hehe.  I find it is similar to pup play in a sense.  The regression aspect is kinda like a pup's headspace.  Where you think about fetching the ball, or wrestling other pups and pleasing Sir and all your other worries just kind of melt away.

Listen, this abdl community is so awesome! We mostly just think about cuddles and changes and don't really get into politics or other adult mumbo jumbo that stops us from having a good time and it should stay that way! That being said if anyone littles, daddies, pups, handlers or baby furs want to chat and get to know me that would be great :) I love meeting and chatting with new people, also gives me an excuse to travel and visit new places! So don't be shy and give me a shout! I don't bite :P
