For people who get tired of me talking about the view count, you have to take a few things into consideration.
First, when I first started blogging in November 2008 I was getting maybe a viewer or two a day. I was trying to post my link in ABDL/diaper site forums and on my own profiles and getting pushback from some of the sites.
Second, when I first began, a lot of people told me I was wasting my time. They suggested that an ABDL blog would never get a wide audience. Or possibly, an audience at all.
"How are you going to compete with diaper websites?" they asked. They didn't understand the purpose behind a blog, and I wasn't sure if anyone would...
But you did. You understood it, and embraced it...
Third: my views are 'pure'.
A lot of diaper websites and diaper blogs use different means to get traffic to them. For example, you can search for the word 'diaper' and one of the first links which will come up will be these sites or blogs.
That's great for attracting young people just discovering the fetish.
But it also serves to attract parents who are looking for diapers for their infant children. Or politicians who are doing research for the next group of people they are going to lambast in the press. In other words, it attracts the wrong element for a blog like this one. I don't want young impressionable adolescent kids discovering our lifestyle for the first time getting Abysitter.com as their introduction to it. And I don't need parents or politicians browsing my blog. This blog is 100% 18 and up ABDL.
I'll say it again. This blog is 100% 18 and up ABDL.
As a result, I don't post my link anywhere it might be seen by anyone not in the group above. And I don't allow my blog to be publicly searchable on Twitter. I use parental control filtering software which probably keeps a lot of minors out of the site. And I require a click-through to get to the blog in the first place. That means my blog gets far less views then it could... which is why I am even prouder of 100,000 views. It's 100K unique daily views - of us, by us. For us.
I am not an idiot. I know that a lot of my viewers come to the blog to read other people's stories and view other people's pictures.
In a sense, my blog is actually the blog of no fewer than 24 ABDL community members.
I express my appreciation to you, and to each of them, for being a part of the 100,000.
If my surveys are any indication, at least a few of you own approximately 1,000 of these views all by yourself. Others of you may be viewing my blog for the first time today.
Still, for whatever part you played in the 100K... thanks.
100K is dope-ass. But if we could see a snapshot of each of the 100,000 that would be sweet as fuck.
Because my email tells me that some of the numbers in that 100K were very significant.
I have heard from people who have read some of my accounts on the blog and found comfort in the similarities we have with each other.
I heard from someone who took the advice of one of my entry writers, Baby Lee, and was grateful to have had a chance to read the entry as he was entering college... it left him prepared, with a backup plan for a very similar situation.
I have heard from people who began writing guest entries for the blog after reading the 'What Makes Us Tick' series - and found finishing them too difficult to do. But found the process therapeutic...
And I heard from more than 100 of you after I wrote my blog entry titled 'Message.' Many of you expressed that you had found the blog helpful to your diaper development, and I appreciated hearing from every one of you...
So whether you have contributed dozens of pictures or a story to the site, or just been a regular reader, the 100K I'm excited about today belongs to both of us.
