Pampers: Worth More Than Facebook - Really.

The sixth annual Millward Brown Optimor Brandz™ survey is out – and the results may surprise you.

From the official website:

Developed by Millward Brown Optimor, the BrandZ Top 100 Most Valuable Global Brands ranking analyzes the world's leading brands and the economic and competitive dynamics that influence value fluctuations. It is the most comprehensive annual ranking of brand value, and focuses on consumer-facing brands, rather than corporate brands.

The Top 15 was probably no surprise to anyone.

The number one brand was Apple, with a brand value of $153 million, up 84% from 2010.

Google was second, down 2% to $111 million.

3: IBM, $100 mil.

4: McDonalds: $81 mil.

5. Microsoft: $78 mil.

6. Coca Cola: $73 mil.

7: AT&T: $69 mil.

8: Marlboro: $67 mil.

9: China Mobile: $57 mil.

10: General Electric: 50 mil.

11: ICBC Asia: $44 mil.

12. Vodaphone: $43 mil.

13. Verizon: $42 mil.

14: Amazon.com: 37 mil.

15. WalMart: $37 mil.

Surprisingly, even with their DryMax scandal in 2010/2011, Pampers was 33rd, up 11% with a brand value of $19.350 mil.

And an even bigger surprise: they beat out Facebook, with a valuation of $19.102 mil.

Since Facebook's value was up 246% since 2010, it's likely that this will be the last year that the brand leader in diapers will beat the brand leader in social networking.

They also beat out ABDL favorite Disney: $17,290 mil.

In a valuation of brand contribution – a brand's emotional attachment on its customers – the following:

1 Möet & Chandon 4,570 5

2 Baidu 22,555 5

3 Skol 4,579 5

4 Hennessy 4,997 5

5 Pampers 19,350 5

6 Louis Vuitton 24,312 5

7 Natura 4,614 5

8 Brahma 1,996 5

9 Hermès 11,917 5

10 Chanel 6,823 5

11 Rolex 5,269 5

12 Guinness 3,446 5

13 Porsche 12,413 5

14 BMW 22,425 5

15 Gucci 7,449 5

Pampers: The BrandZ Top 100 Leaders in Trust and Value:

The results confirm two fundamental findings of the BrandZ Top 100 Most Valuable Global Brands report:

· Brand leaders successfully inspire trust and project value; and

· Brand leaders increasingly appear in fast-growing markets.

Pampers and Amazon are listed three times in this table. While consumers expect products in the childcare category to be highly trustworthy, Pampers consistently exceeds those expectations. Effective use of social media has helped the brand connect with new parents and score high both in Trust (performance over time) and recommendation (recent experience). In the process of driving a revolution in retailing and e-commerce, Amazon has established itself as a highly desired brand.

Abysitter.com Survey - Coming Soon!

NEW SURVEY COMING UP!

Next week I will be introducing an ABDL version of the Brand Survey. I'll be posing questions to you and asking which "brands" you trust and respect, be it in diapers, ABDL products, and communities/websites.

If anyone has any feedback for me, please email me: abysitter@gmail.com. Specifically I am looking to include all brands, and all websites, so if you know of any I might not include please email me, put "Brand Survey" in the subject header, and suggest away.

I guess the reason Pampers is worth more than Facebook is because every new human being and maybe some baby monkeys might use Pampers or a Pamper's equivalent of sort but not all those consumers are going to be using Facebook.

Reckon that argument is valid for as long as Facebook has been around. OH an don't forget Pampers should really be an older brand name too.
